I suppose that anyone with low standards has few difficulties in locating people to emulate. Personally, I find it very difficult to find what we all need–illustrations of humans who inspire us with their wisdom, courage, or judgment.
Of course, we know that when we find such people there will probably be warts aplenty upon closer examination. So please do not disabuse me of my admiration for Matt Taibbi and Alayne Fleischman.
Taibbi’s trenchant analysis of injustice in our world and his apparent refusal to soften his vigorous assaults on the ugliness of inequality in its various manifestations stand in transparent contrast to the political pap that most journalists either desire or feel compelled to produce.
Rage along with Taibbi as he documents the callousness and brutality of JPMorgan Chase’s campaign to crush the preternaturally brave whistle-blower Alayne Fleischman.
