If We REALLY Cared about Children

We all know the horrible record the United States has with respect to infant mortality rates. Our own CIA has our country ranked 57th, not exactly the kind of self-congratulatory news that loud, simplistic patriots trumpet.

We all know the ferocity of and firm commitments held by abortion opponents. Their rhetoric focuses on their love of life, particularly their love of “babies.” Yet, they are often reflexively “opposed” when our country needs tax money for preschool education or food for starving children.

Ideas for assisting children and their parents abound. The willpower to embrace and pay for implementation of these ideas is often well-hidden in the United States. To see what is possible when a nation really loves children, take a look at simple, caring ideas we could borrow from Canada and Finland.
